bio

Stacey Hayes is a graduate of J. Graham Brown High School, Spalding University and Western Governor’s University. She’s going into her 10th year as a high-school coach and her 25th year playing. She began her volleyball playing career in elementary and continued through college, where she played 2 years at Virginia Intermont as a middle blocker. She returned to Louisville in 2010, received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Spalding University, and then on to earn her MBA from Western Governor’s University.

Her first 5 years of coaching were at her alma mater – Brown High School, where she and her high school coach, Gary Dailey, had 5 winning seasons, and lead the largest number of girls at the school to play in college. In her 5 years coaching at Brown, 14 girls signed letters of intent for DII and DIII colleges in the region. Following her time at Brown, she joined the Francis Parker community as head coach and leader in team development. With the help of the athletic department, she has gone from 6 girls (total!) her first year coaching at Francis Parker, to now over 20, coaching at all levels (Freshman, JV and Varsity). She will be entering her 5th season with them in 2023.

Outside of volleyball, Stacey works in revenue cycle management for LHC Group, Inc. and has just bought her first investment property! She loves playing with her Pitbull, Deja, spending time at the lake, cheering on her Cards and going to the track to play the ponies.

Stacey is entering her 3rd season at MAVA as an assistant coach to Elizabeth Drury.
