Holly Schroder is entering her first season at MAVA. She grew up here in Louisville playing volleyball, basketball, softball and cheerleading. Her best friend’s parents coached her in volleyball through grade school and it became her favorite sport. She obtained many trophies through her grade school years. She went on to attend Mercy Academy and graduated in 1994. Holly played on multiple adult volleyball leagues in her 20-30’s through Baxter Jack’s, R Place Pub, and Midamerica. She took her love for the sport to start coaching at St. Gabriel in 2018 and has coached every year since. She became the Volleyball Director in summer 2024. She has also coached two seasons at KIVA in the past two years. In 2023 her team won a Derby City Spring Fling Silver Division Champions award. She is married and has a daughter at St. Gabriel and a son at St. Xavier High School. Looking forward to being a Shark!
