Erin Bero is originally from Cincinnati, OH, and relocated to Louisville in 2007. She is a proud wife to Jim they have 3 children (Avery, Evan, and Brock). She currently works for the Kentucky Derby Festival and has been actively involved in the local volleyball community for over 7 years. Outside of her professional life, Erin is a dedicated coach with a strong passion for the sport. She coaches at St. Margaret Mary in the off season of MAVA and recently led two City Championship teams to victory for the CSAA in 2024.
Erin graduated from the University of Dayton, and she played volleyball at Seton High School and has continued her love for the game through coaching. She’s currently in her third year at MAVA and excited to be the head coach for 11 Elite, where she runs rigorous and focused practices aimed at improving players’ techniques, teamwork, and preparation for the next level.
Erin’s favorite coaching philosophy is, “Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performances,” and she brings this mindset into every practice, ensuring her athletes develop both their skills and confidence on and off the court. She is excited to continue challenging and inspiring young athletes as part of the MAVA community.
