Jillian Detherage played volleyball for 8 years and has been coaching volleyball for the past 2 years. She joined MAVA staff as a 15’s non-travel coach in 2023. She is Assistant Varsity Coach for Presentation Academy. Jill is originally from Upstate New York, but played volleyball for Kentucky Country Day, Kentucky State University, and clubs Louisville Thunder and LJVC.
Jill is a Spalding graduate, and also holds her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in trauma and crisis. Jill has been working in healthcare the past 19 years, and currently works in adolescent behavioral health.
Jill lives with her significant other , her stepdaughter who plays volleyball at KCD, and their two dogs Piglet and Tony Montana.
