Nick Sutton

Nick has been playing volleyball for more than 30 years and coaching for 18+ years. Nick joined the MAVA coaching staff back in 2016. His coaching resume includes coaching at Christian Academy of Louisville (Varsity), Sacred Heart Academy (Varsity/JV), Bellarmine University (under Dan Palmer for 4 years), and the University of Louisville (under Coach Leonid Yelin for 2 years as a VA). He has won multiple 17U Open National Championships and has helped place many athletes into all collegiate levels.

Nick has played on teams in the Pioneer USA Volleyball regions as well as for Saint Xavier High School, Kentucky Junior Volleyball Academy (KJVA), Team Power and the University of Kentucky Men’s team. A Louisville native and Saint Xavier High School alum, Nick attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY and currently works in the hospital division as a Senior Coordinator at Scion Healthcare. Nick and his wife, Paige, live in J-Town and have 3 kids, Noah (17), Hadley (5) and Nash (2) that love to be in the gym with them. Nick is also an avid shoe collector with more than 150 pairs in his collection.
